IPAD Should I buy an Apple?

I have a new Dell desktop computer (less than a year old) with a 640GB hard drive with Vista, a computer Dell laptop (which is about three years old (with Vista and a friend gave me a Dell I bought in 2003. I have an Iphone, and I also love, love, love my technical side. I like Tivo and I use it in wireless communications, so we get everything from my computer transferred to my HDTV. I have a Blu, Nikon cameras, etc. For So as you can see, I know what I'm doing a little bit, but I've never used anything from Apple, but my Iphone. I was thinking that maybe if I could benefit the Iphone it every time I travel and even just riding around the city. Get Wi-fi, of course, and I have MobileMe with my Iphone. So what do you think?

IPAD looks good but not worth the price. I also think that even you can not replace your laptop. I can not. It does not even support multiple tasks.
