IPAD iPhone vs 4 for the birthday of 15 years of age?

my birthday is coming soon and there are only two things I like to have, it would iphone 4 (i have 3gs) or IPAD (I have 3 years old macbook) is 4 an update 3gs fairly large and is better than the iphone IPAD 4? I would use iphone wayyy more and i plan on giving my 3gs my little brother if i get a iphone 4. please and thank you i dont care about the iPhone 4 numbers i plan on getting an excellent if I get it and I think it would be worth

iPhone 4. Since the IPAD is great but is basically like an iPhone to burn, but without calling features, etc. Also should receive only 4 iPhone.
